| | | | What is a Poster Presentation?
The only difference between a poster and oral presentation is that poster presentation is a written description of the study or article with illustrations which will be presented to the conference audience only in printed form and placed on a poster board in the poster exhibition. All other instructions such as manuscript instructions and content restrictions apply to a poster the same way they do to an oral presentation. All poster presentations will be gathered into the poster exhibition which is located in the glass Expo. It is a perfect meeting point since it is open daily during all breaks, in the afternoon after conference lectures and during the Get Together Evening on 12th June and City Reception on 14th June. It is an ideal place to make new contacts and discuss with your colleagues and customers in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Important information for preparing the poster presentation: The content of the posters should be non-commercial, industrial or industrial-scientific. The manuscript instructions should be followed and the manuscript of the poster submitted for the proceedings by 31st March 2009. In the poster exhibition the space available for your poster presentation (text and illustrations) is 100cm x 120 cm (width x height). You may use this space for your presentation as you best see fit but we recommend you to make one big poster of it. Your presentation can be easily mounted to the board with two-sided tape or pins. Both will be available at the conference. You have the opportunity to add a Powerpoint of your poster to the GPD 2009 proceedings CD which will be made immediately after the conference. Send the Powerpoint to us by 3rd June 2009. If you wish to have your poster displayed but can't participate to the conference the fee is 150 €, including the display, the space in the Proceedings book, CD & Glassfiles.com web service. To include the poster paper only in the CD and Glassfiles.com is free of charge.
Should you have any further questions or concerns about posters, please contact, Mr. Tommi Lääveri(
