GPD is held in the city of Tampere, a busy Finnish lake territory city, with a population appr. 255 000. Tampere is an excellent example of a clean, modern and safe Nordic city. It was founded in 1779 on the divider between two great lakes - Näsijärvi and Pyhäjärvi - linked together through the Tammerkoski rapids. The tradtitional industrial area around the Tammerkoski rapids is one of the official national scenic areas in Finland.

There are two major universities, a university hospital and numerous institutions of education as well as organizations operating in high-tech industries. Tampere Tourist Office

Tampere Hall
The conference will take place in Tampere Hall, the largest congress and concert centre in the Nordic region. It is located within a walking distance from the city centre and all major hotels.
