GPD China 1994 and 2004
The seminar topic was 'Quality Glazing in Glass Buildings and the Latest Technology' which attracted 18 high quality presentations. They were delivered to an impressive audience of 180 persons from different parts of the world. The audience included key personnel from the Chinese Government, architects, glass experts and professions, local and international press, glass consultants and research institutions. Due to the success of this re-launch, it was decided that GPD China should be organized annually alternating between Beijing and Shanghai. GPD China 2005In 2005, GPD China was held again in conjunction with China Glass, in Shanghai in April 16-17. Under the theme 'Quality in Coating, Safety Glass Technology and Latest Innovations', 19 high quality presentations were delivered attracting an international audience of 160 persons from 18 countries. Both GPD China 2004 and 2005 consisted of one session. Participants in both events expressed great satisfaction at the organization of the seminar, presentations and they actually took initiatives for a broadening of the seminar concept. That initiative expanded the GPD China from that of a seminar to a full conference. GPD China 2009The next GPD China Conference will be held in Shanghai in 11-12 May 2009 . The first GPD China event was developed and implemented in 1994 and then re-launched in 2004, ten years later. The 2004 seminar enjoyed the experiences of GPD Finland in the intervening years and was now held in conjunction with China Glass International Exhibition in Beijing.
