The GPD is built around formal presentations, informal discussions and effective networking. Maximizing the value of participation requires a clear conference structure as well as orderly rules of the game. The GPD presenter instructions have been developed for that purpose. Abstract SubmissionAll abstracts should be submitted via the on-line Abstract Submission Form. All the required fields must be filled in for the abstract to be accepted. Presentations must be non-commercial, industrial or industrial-scientific papers. The language of the conference will be English and all presentations should be given in English.The Organizing Committee will finalize the program based on the received abstracts. The organizers have the right to publish abstracts for the various purposes of the conference. The organizing committee reserves all rights. How to write an abstract An abstract summarizes in 100 – 200 words the essential information of your presentation. It briefly describes the objective, methods, results and conclusions of your paper. How to write your personal introduction (max. 70 words) The purpose is to give a very brief introduction of the author e.g. to show the author’s level of expertise and competence on the topic. Manuscript InstructionsManuscript instructions are the same for both oral and poster presentations. The deadline for manuscript submission for GPD 2011 is 31st March, 2011 . Poster presentationsThe only difference between a poster and oral presentation is that poster presentation is a written description of the study or article with illustrations which will be presented to the conference audience only in printed form and placed on a poster board in the poster exhibition. Please note that GPD 2011 Organization is not responsible for printing the posters. Oral presentationsWe recommend all oral presentator's (or speakers) to make a powerpoint to support the presentation. The powerpoints must be ready and sent to the conference organizers by 1st June 2011. If the presentation hasn't been sent by the given deadline, the organizers can not quarantee the functionality of the powerpoint in Tampere Talo.
